Dr. Rita Geigel was born in San Antonio, but grew up in San Juan Puerto Rico. She earned her undergrad and graduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, and graduated from Veterinary School in 1990. She and her husband moved to Austin in 1991, where she has since raised 3 beautiful and talented daughters while working as a Relief and Emergency veterinarian throughout Austin and the surrounding areas. In September 2013, Dr. Geigel took ownership over Windsor Park Veterinary Clinic in East Austin; bringing her extensive small animal experience to this area where she is advantaged in providing compassionate veterinary care to a broader range of pet owners because she is fluent in English and in Spanish. Four times each year, Dr. Geigel travels to Mexico, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador to teach spaying and neutering techniques to verterinary students at university. Dr. Geigel spends much of her time cultivating her knowledge and skills as a veterinarian; participating in myriad continuing education opportunities is a fundamental part of her practice, and something she believes is non-negotiable for any veterinary practice owner. Additionally, it is not only her goal  to stay up to date with best practices in veterinary medicine for only her benefit, it is also to enable her to teach technicians and interns in her charge the most widely accepted, proven and cutting edge techniques, as well. This is just one of the countless ways that Dr. Geigel's approach to providing the best possible care for her clients involves education, and in particular that education be spread throughout the entire practice and every individual on teams providing patient care and client communication.

Meet Dr. David Allman. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, he attended the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate student before heading off to Aggieland for veterinary school. Dr. Allman found a unique interest in minimally invasive surgery and canine sports medicine throughout his training. After completion of the residency program Dr. Allman was appointed as an assistant professor and moderated the main surgery course for veterinary students at Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Allman loves teaching and working with veterinary students, but his love of family and Austin, Texas, called him home in August of 2012. By starting a mobile specialty surgery practice here in Austin, Texas, Dr. Allman is able to provide complicated surgical procedures to many pets that would not otherwise be able to receive specialty care. Outside of the operating room Dr. Allman can be found enjoying the great outdoors, and exploring Austin with his wife Summer.
